The 2026 USA World Cup is getting closer, and it’s time to get your lights talking to LumeAlert. If you’ve got your Govee setup ready, now let’s connect the dots and bring your smart lighting to life with real-time match reactions.

1. Connect Your Govee Account to LumeAlert
To sync your lights, we’ll need access to your Govee cloud account.

Here’s how:

  1.  Guide to getting connected for the first time

💡 Keep this key safe! It allows LumeAlert to communicate with your lights.

2. Add Your API Key to LumeAlert

  1. Log into your LumeAlert dashboard.

  2. Click the "Connect Govee" button.

  3. Paste your API key into the Govee API Key field.

  4. Click Connect,  and just like that, you'll be able to select your active Govee devices.

3. Link Your Devices

Once your API key is active, you’ll see a list of all available Govee lights on your account.

Choose the devices you want to use during matches:

  • TV backlights

  • Room lamps

  • Wall lights

  • Or all of them!

You can assign different effects to each one! For example, a goal flash for your neon rope light, and a red strobe for your lamp.

🛠 Customize Your Light Reactions

4. Test Your Setup

Before the tournament starts, hit Preview Scene to simulate goal flashes or win celebrations. This helps you fine-tune timing, colors, and brightness.

🎉 Ready for Kickoff?

You're now fully connected and match-ready. LumeAlert will handle the rest! Sit back, enjoy the matches, and let your lights do the cheering.
